Axis Chevrolet to provide Jersey City Soccer Association with monetary contribution
November 4, 2023 - Axis Chevrolet partnered with Jersey City Soccer Association on the Chevy Youth Sports program, a partnership program built to position Chevrolet as the Official Vehicle of Youth Sports while providing an opportunity for local youth sports leagues to grow.
The partnership features a one-time monetary contribution of $1000 to assist Jersey City Soccer Association with registration fees, equipment costs, facility maintenance and other administrative fees.
“Sports can help kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support,” said Maria Dion, Marketing Director, for Axis Chevrolet. “Axis Chevrolet and Chevy Youth Sports are proud to help Jersey City Soccer Association bring so many smiles to kids and families in Jersey City. Chevy believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future.”
The Chevy Youth Sports program gives Chevrolet dealerships the opportunity to provide support for youth athletic programs across the country. In 2023, over 600 Chevrolet dealerships will participate in the program nationwide.

AXIS CHEVROLET AND WASHINGTON PARK LITTLE LEAGUE JOIN FORCES FOR YOUTH BASEBALL EVENT
May 23, 2023 - Jersey City, NJ - Axis Chevrolet and Washington Park Little League, in collaboration with the National Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball program, held a youth baseball event, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Washington Park Little League grounds in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The highlight of the event was a speech delivered by the Dealer Principal of Axis Chevrolet, who addressed the children and presented a generous donation. Axis Chevrolet, along with Chevrolet, contributed a combined total of $1,000; a $500 donation from Chevrolet matched by a $500 donation from Axis Chevrolet. Additionally, the dealership provided a Chevrolet branded tent, banners, Franklin baseballs, and 100 custom Axis Chevrolet logo reusable water bottles, the donation of 15 pizza pies, refreshments and balloons.
In his speech, the Dealer Principal praised the positive impacts of youth sports, "Baseball for me has been more than just a game, it has been a constant source of inspiration, guidance, and personal growth… baseball has taught me the importance of discipline, staying focused and committed to a goal, even when faced with adversity. Today, I am humbled to have the opportunity to support the next generation of baseball players. Doing our best to support them with the resources they need to pursue their passion, and to help create an environment where dreams can flourish."
Chevrolet's Youth Baseball & Softball program now in its eighteenth year, has positively impacted over 9 million players since its launch in 2006. Last year alone, more than 1,200 Chevrolet dealers participated across the country.
As part of the sponsorship, Axis Chevrolet provided Washington Park Little League with a tent that can be utilized by volunteers during various events throughout the year. Additionally, the sponsorship includes youth clinics featuring current and former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, as well as instruction from Ripken Baseball.
John Hanussak, President of Washington Park Little League, expressed his gratitude, stating, "It's very encouraging and humbling when large businesses such as Axis Chevrolet give back to their community as an acknowledgement of how important it is to support our youth. Donations and funding such as what Axis Chevrolet is providing goes a long way. It helps to ensure we can keep our registration fees as low as possible while maintaining quality equipment that these children can use".
Both Axis Chevrolet and Washington Park Little League are keen on fostering a love for baseball among young players and developing a partnership for years to come. Axis Chevrolet and Washington Park Little League look forward to more successful events that will contribute to the growth and development of youth sports in Jersey City.
